Citizen Rain

Opening credits play. The cartoon playing on the screen is hypnotoad.

INT. The Planet Express building.

Rain is slashing against the window aggressively. Each raindrop is either gold, silver or red. The camera zooms down out the window and shows FRY running through the front door of the planet express building.

FRY
I think the contrast ratio is broken on your rain, Hermes.

HERMES
(Walking out of a door holding a pile of paper work and chuckling) No Fry you 20th century foxwit. That is just hyper-rain.

FRY
That sounds stupid, d'oh stupid. Your all stupid! (Points directly forward)

The camera reveals that no-one is there.

HERMES
Erm Fry... there is no-one there.

FRY
But I could of sworn I saw some...

BENDER walks into the space in which FRY was pointing.

BENDER
Hey why are you pointing Fry? Is my fly undone? Oh shut up all of you it was my lifestyle choice! (Runs away crying and then walks calmly back almost immediately) Wanna go toss some biohazard at old people?

FRY
Bender, that is exactly what I want to do.

FRY and BENDER walk back out into the hyper-rain.

HERMES
(Shouting after them) Make sure its only grade C biohazard!

EXT. The roof of the Planet Express building.

It is still hyper-raining. The PROFESSOR is pouring a liquid through a funnel into an empty jam jar.. When the jar is full he places the lid on to the jar. As he places the lid on it creates a purple mushroom cloud. The purple mist begins to disappear but is still present.

PROFESSOR
Hello. (Walks off the roof of the building)

A shatter is heard. Then the camera zooms off the roof to show BENDER holding the PROFESSOR up and FRY standing next to him with a sad look on his face and a shattered vase on the floor.

BENDER
I hope your happy Professor.

FRY
Your old and you just did something crazy! You must have dementia! Why'd you do it professor? Was it because of the dementia?

PROFESSOR
I could of sworn I saw...

LEELA walks out of the door.

LEELA
Hey Professor, Leela and Fry. I was just going to go and drink to forget about my lousy life.

FRY
That sounds like fun!

PROFESSOR
Yes yes I remember fun. Go have it fellows! Go have it!

LEELA
Okay professor. Zoidberg is in the building playing by himself.

FRY
Playing? I like playing! What's he playing?

LEELA
7 hand poker, texas hold'em poker and strip poker.

FRY
(Shudders) Poker.

INT. Planet Express building. The room with the table and the big screen in.

ZOIDBERG is at the table playing with cards. He is placing each card down one by one face down and then staring at the back intently. He then slaps his hand down on the pile.

ZOIDBERG
(Shouting) Poker!

BENDER, FRY and LEELA enter. FRY and LEELA proceed to throw their: shoes and coats off. FRY then throws off his trousers.

FRY
One too far?

LEELA
(Stares at him bewildered for a second) Meh! (Throws off trousers which hit BENDER in the head. He then flies backwards in confusion and his head falls off and his body is lying on the floor attempting to roll and get up) The one time I do something completely crazy... (Puts trousers back on)

The PROFESSOR, AMY and HERMES enter.

PROFESSOR
Good news Benders Body! (Pauses) And Fry, Leela, Zoidberg and Benders head. Planet Express, and by that I mean you, is delivering a very uninteresting completely bland box to a very uninteresting and complete dull planet. (Pauses) So you psyched?
