It seems to me, some of the best music out there can be found on soundtrack albums....anyone agree?

List some of your recommendations...here's a couple of mine..

Dead Man Walking....mellow, acoustic, bluesy...

Kill Bill....fun, fun, fun....there's something on there for everybody! One of my faves!!

Anybody else? The Crow maybe?........?

Sometimes it's funny that even though a movie sucks, the soundtrack album is good!

I'm not implying that all those movies sucked.....sorry if it sounded that way!

Only one of them did.

I loved the music from Amelie. They were playing it at work the other day and it made me really happy, and I was having a crappy day.

The soundtrack from "The Graduate" is good too. Love that Simon and Garfunkel stuff.

I got a "Best Of" CD of S&G for Christmas a couple years back. I love listening to it, especially when I'm in a folk/emo/hippie mood. Which is a lot. :P

I love most kinds of music, but the past couple of years I've gotten back into my love of singer/songwriter acoustic stuff....Gort=emo (?)

If you like great acoustic mellow stuff, check out Joshua Radin...SOOO GOOD!!
I heard a piece of one of his songs in the background of 'Scrubs'
It was the song "Winter" and it's on his first album...check it out!!!

I agree, NBC has great songs! I also like the LOTR soundtrack (although that's more classical sort of music than songy sort of music!), but then I'm a LOTR obsessive!!!

They're not making it!!!!!!
At least not with Peter Jackson.....!!!
Copyright issues might prevent the film from EVER being made, and even then it probably will be without Jackson........what idiots!!

The soundtrack from the first Mortal Kombat movie was pretty good too, I remember one of my friends had it and we would dance to it like there was no tomorrow. That and Janet Jackson. Those were the days....

Oh, THAT Hobbit news! I'm very sad about that, it's an awesome book! (I may be just a tad biased since I'm a huge Tolkien fan, and I love dragons! :))

I second that, I have the soundtrack. The last song on the 2nd CD, the one that Minnie Driver sings, tears out my heart every time I hear it.
