This was a long time ago, but I completed mine on the first go. Honestly though, the instructor didn't ask me to do much. Drive up the road. Turn around...He did not ask me to park, use any of the instruments, or anything. I feel like I got cheated out of a proper exam. :P

I had a grumpy instructor and i ended up doing an extra maneuver because he forgot i already did the ones needed but didnt want to question him and he only noticed at the end....... And i got given minors for not looking in my mirrors when changing gear, like come on seriously.

I think our driving tests are too easy where I live, I have a friend who was an absolute menace on the road (to the point where none of us wanted to get in the car if she was driving) - We were all just waiting for her to kill someone. Anyway, sure enough after having her first car for a month she managed to total it and in the process managed to make one of her passengers a paraplegic.
6 months later she got another car - a month down the track she got drunk and let some other idiot drive who lost control of the car and they got T-boned by another vehicle, this time my friend wound up spending 5 months in hospital and is still in rehab
I'm not saying everyone's a shit driver, I just think they need to make the driving tests a bit harder :S
I'm relieved to say that said friend no longer has a license!

Yoshirama

1. take driving lessons and learn the rules extra
2. take a test
3. pass the test get you log books
4. do 20 hours of driving
5. get your p-plates(green ones)
6. About year anad half later you get yellow/white ones
7. after that you get your full licence.
p plates have a speed limit that you can't go over even if your in a higher speed place.
FryRulz
13-01-2010, 01:20 PM
Thats crap......
Here in UK you can either take lessons or someone can teach you if they have had a full license for 3years and over 21. There is also no certain amount of hours you need to drive. First you need to pass a theory test and then you have to pass a practical to get your full license.

In Victoria we can take our test for our L's when we're 16 but we cant go for our drivers license until were 18, and then we have stupid laws for the first year of having your license like only being able to drive with one passenger or something retarded like that lol. I'm just glad I got mine before all the new shitty rules and regulations came in!

Don't be scared of taking your test. When I took mine for Behind the Wheel, I had 2 other students with me. 1 of them had Cerebal Palsy (seriosuly, it scared the hell out of me...) and the other was a normal student. The other student went first, got -6 points but still passed, and I learned all the mistakes he made. I got -0! It is really nothing to be nervous about.

Yeah it does, which I think is stupid! And I think Queensland have hoon laws, like if you get caught speeding and you're 15ks or more over the speed limit they impound your car overnight, and if you do it again they impound it for longer etc etc. Glad they don't have those laws in Victoria...
