Just joined and have nothing to say. That, I am sure, will change. I mostly want to know about the rumoured new episodes. I've been a fan of Groening since the 70s with Jeff and Akbar and am a HUGE 'Simpsons' fan...I know the grandfather of a production designer on the Simpsons and she sent me an original finished Bart drawing on animation board paper. I must admit that as much as I like the Simpsons, I also thought Futurama was a better animated,better written and all around better show...I miss it SOOO much. Wow.....guess I was wrong...did have stuff to say...Hmmm...

Hello gort..let me start by saying WELCOME . The new episodes are supposed to be out in 2008 sometime...i heard that they are to be four feature length movies released direct to DVD, then later will be split up into episodes for TV. Whether or not they will be linked in terms of storyline is yet to be announced.You are one lucky person to have ties to the production staff of the simpsons!!!:D Would you be able to scan your bart pic and share it with us???
I agree with you that futurama is a better production all around...i think its smarter, better animated(that could be something to do with the experience groening has since the Simpson's, and the bigger price tag per episode) and its also funnier in my opinion.Thanks for joining my friend, and i hope to chat further with you soon!!!:D:D

Don't have a scanner...sorry. The drawing is in animator blue pencil and finished over in pencil...Bart on a skateboard with a personalized greeting! I agree with you...me lucky!

Ya know....this forum is ALMOST like a chat room...something I've made fun of for years! Oh well...I'm having a blast! Always wanted to visit England...sorry about that whole 'american revolution' thing...I had nothing to do with it. I'm in San Diego...at least a suburb of it...ya know: sand,waves,sun,booze,music,all that stuff....I, however live 40 minutes away from the beach in horse community with rednecks and tweakers...makes for a nice drive though!!
