Okay, this is to the wanderlust in you, it's now time to say
"Where on Earth you wanna go"!
"Where on Earth do you want to go"?
"If you've already been to the place you say you want to go to, just simply put back to before it".
(Feel free to post multiple times, if you feel like going somewhere else in the world).
I want to go to Paris, France

too bad i dont have the money, though Africa, Antarctica, the middle east with the exception of maybe Dubai and Jerusalem, most of Asia, and Russia, aren't very high on the list of places i really want to see before i die, not that I would turn down a free trip to any of them, just not top priority for me, but it would be nice, one day maybe ill build a sailboat and see it all

well so long as your going for the history and architecture youll likely enjoy it, but if your going for the bourbon street experience or something like that, its really not that great, kind of a dump really, tourist trap, foodwise you should instead go about 2 hours west and get an authentic cajun experience instead of the tourist version New Orleans offers

I really want to see the Garden District, but I'd also love to visit the bayou. I also heard that here are some really interesting Voodoo tours there which I would like to take.

yea there are some nice spots there, the Audubon zoo, the river walk area is pretty nice, some civil war/war of 1812 battlefields, riverboat rides, etc
the scariest thing you can do in new orleans is walk through town at night, and you dont even have to be on a voodoo tour, but the vodoo tour is probably alot safer

Yeah, I would imagine that it could be a little rough there from what I've heard. I love Civil War history too so that's right up my alley. The sad thing is I live a few hours from Ghettysburg but I've never been there.

Oh yes this is in the right section, though I don't know how to make an actual poll, I'm happy with this here as this just is'nt a game. That 'What's you second language' thread is more of a game than this and that's in polls.

Ugh, I hate that place. You have to be really careful in some areas because it can be a little rough. I like Orange County better, especially around the area where I grew up. I'm going back there after the wedding and I can't wait to see the look on Mike's face when he sees L.A. for the first time. lol

Remember when that happened in The Simpsons? Well, that wasn't really a joke on their part.
There's a whole Wikipedia page on toilets of Japan and it's very amusing. lol

This (http://www.topnews.in/talking-toilets-and-polite-coffee-machines-make-life-easy-japan-2123765) was the only thing I could find (after Google-ing for 5 seconds) so I think the talking toilets was greatly exaggerated. Oh well. It still doesn't change the fact that the Japanese are awesome.

I love Japanese food. There was this restaurant I used to go to back home called Harima and that place was amazing. It was the first place where I tried sushi and wasabi. :D

I gave it a chance knowing well that it was raw fish, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's delicious. I'm open to trying a lot of new things but I don't know if I could ever handle escargot.

14-03-2009, 11:46 PM
Ew, snail? I don't think I'll be able to handle that

I hear it's really garlicy which is right up my alley, but I am totally grossed out by snails when they're alive so I think I would have a hard time eating them.
Fudimplan
14-03-2009, 11:59 PM
i think live snails are gross too.. but i love them cooked xD it goes so well with a beer. well, if you're thinking of eating one for the first time, try to imagine it's a gummy bear xD

Maybe I'll try a bite one day. I didn't think I'd ever eat calamari until my mom tricked me into it. She told me what it was after I ate it. I didn't care for it too much...kinda rubbery. I hear French food is fantastic though.
L+F, whereabout in France did you go?
