Futurama: Come from the Future

This is a New Fan Fiction I've wrote. Leela is getting fed up with Fry constantly asking her out. And she's fed up with the way her life is. But it's all about to change when someone from with Future shows up out of nowhere , wanting her.



All Fry could see from underneath the ship was a trail of purple hair. He sat and watched feeling slightly nervous as Leela tried to fix the ships engine. " Fry pass me that screwdriver " Leela said pointing to the tool box. Fry then rumaged in the tool box next to him , then past a red screwdriver to Leela.

As Leela lay under the ship , a drip of sweat ran down the side of his face and he sat and watched her. " There " Leela said pulling herself out from underneath the ship , " It's fixed ". Fry then turned his head and smiled as Leela stood next to him trying to fix her ponytail which was bent from lying down on the floor.

He continued to watch her as she tried wiping oil off of her tank top. Leela then headed over to her locker and , took out a brush. She pulled out her scrunchy and shook her head to let her hair down. She was about to start brushing her hair, before she noticed in her mirror Fry , who was sitting at the bench behind her staring at her.

" What are you looking at Fry? " she said sharply. " Nothing " Fry replied looking away quickly. Leela just frowned and shook her head and continued to brush her hair. " Hey , Leela " Fry shouted as he sat with his back facing her. " I was wondering , since it's Valentines day tomorrow , you think maybe we could....".

" I already told you , No Fry " She shouted back Sharply interupting him before he could finish. " I'm not going to tell you again". Leela then slammed the door of her Locker and headed up to Fry , who was as usual sitting looking glum. " Why do you Keep asking me? " she said angrily.

" And why do you keep rejecting? " Fry replied and then got up and stormed off leaving Leela standing shaking her head. As Fry was heading off , Bender came out of the Lounge area as usual with a cigar in his mouth. " Hey Meatbag , you..." but Fry just stormed passed him leaving Bender standing bewildered.

Bender then turned round and looked at Leela who turned away , Bender then headed up to her. " So , you've rejected him again then , Huh!" , " Just keep out of it Bender " Leela replied fixing the stuff in the tool box. " God sake woman , can't you at least give him a chance , I mean I used to think it was funny when you rejected him , but now it's starting to annoy me".

" And , why would you be annoyed? , I don't involve you in it " Leela asked folding her arms. " Because , EYEBALL when ever you reject him he ends up coming home , moaning about you I have to pretend I care , when I don't , and besides it's valentines day tomorrow , at least go out with him ".

Leela by now was starting to get fed up with Bender , she turned round , and looked at Bender with an angry look on her face. " Look , Bender just keep out of it , stop trying to talk me into it , I'm not going out with him and that's that" Leela then picked up her Lime green coat and headed off leaving Bender sitting feeling proud of himself.

" I'm fed up with her , I've tried everything and still she rejects me " Fry moaned to Amy as he sat on the sofa in the lounge area with his arms folded sulking. " I mean What's with her , what does she not like about me ". Amy who was sitting applying lipstick , rolled her eyes then slammed her compact mirror shut.

" Look , Fry stop going on when she says no , she means no , she just doesn't feel the same way about you , that you do about her ". " So , what am I gonna' do , spend the rest of my life trying to go out with the women I love". " Aw , for god sake , I don't know , go and look for someone else , their are other woman out their ".

" I don't want any other woman , I want Leela ". Amy then grunted and grabbed the remote that was beside her as clicked the TV on. Fry then gave a sigh , " You see the thing is , I had something planned for her on Valentines day , and all I needed was for her to be their , but I guess , I'll just call it off ".

Amy then slowly turned her head and looked at Fry who had is head in his arms. She couldn't help but feel sorry for him. She then placed her hand on his shoulder , " Look , Fry I'll , try and talk to her , and see what she says OK ". Fry who still had his Head is his arms just gave a slight nod.

Amy then headed off leaving in the Lounge feeling down. She stood outside the Planet express and raised her hand to shield her eyes from the sun , which was beaming down upon her. She then caught a glimpse of Leela across the road who was sitting having a cup of coffee.

" Hey Leela " Amy said pulling a seat up beside Leela. " Hey " she replied quietly. " So , are you OK? " Amy asked , Leela just replied with a slight nod , and continued to sip her coffee. " You know it's valentines day tomorrow " Amy added trying to start a conversation.

" I know " Leela replied. " Well , uh Kif is taking me out for a romantic meal , and then to a dance , what you are doing? ". Leela just replied with a shrug of her shoulders. " You know I heard Fry doesn't have a date maybe , you and him could".

" Oh , for god sake Amy " Leela shouted banging her mug down on the table. " Don't tell me Fry has sent you out , as well to try and talk me into going out with him ". " No , it's just he's kinda' really down , and he doesn't have a date , so I thought you and him could go out ".

" Well , I'm not " Leela said sarcastically then turned away and drank some more coffee. Amy then frowned and stood up " Oh forget it , you know what Leela , your gonna' spend the rest of your life alone if you don't give people a chance , no wonder your not with anyone ". Amy shouted and stormed off , leaving Leela sitting on her own.

Valentines day was always favourite of Leela's , but today it wasn't. For one thing she knew , that Fry would try at least one last time to try and convince her to go out with him. Leela , who was just woken up from a good nights sleep , got up and grabbed her dressing gown which was draped along the end of her bed.

She wrapped and tied a knot around her waist , and gave Nibbler a gentle pat on the head before leaving. Opening the door of her lounge , she scurried over to the front door , were to cards lay. First she opened up the bright red one , which was from some Alien kid down the road , who had a crush on her.

The second one she knew exactly who it was from. She opened up the light pink card , and smiled at the small pictures at the front , before opening inside. " To Leela " she read , " I Love you , From F**. A smile then came across Leela's face as she closed the cards shut , and placed them on the mantlepiece.

" Where is she? " Fry moaned as he stood inside the lounge area , staring out the window. " Fry , Why are you waiting on Leela? , I really don't know why you bother with her , on how she treated you ". " Shoosh!Amy , I really don't care I just want it to be surprise" Fry said angrily to Amy as she sat on the sofa.

" But , Fry why are you bothering? , she treats you as if your something scraped of her sho.." . " Wait , here she comes , god I hope she likes them". Amy then rolled her eyes as Fry sat down beside her patiently waiting for her to come up. " OK , what have you done? " Amy asked knowing he was up to something.

" I've planned for Bender to jump out the side , of Planet Express with a bouquet of roses for Leela " Fry replied staring at the door. " You asked Bender " Amy replied. Outside Planet Express Bender stood smoking a cigar , with him arms folded and and with a bouquet of roses.

" Here " Bender said shoving the roses into Leela's face , " Their from the meatbag ". A smile then spread across Leela's face as she reached out for her flowers.
But they were instantly pulled back , and a metal robotic hand put in place. " Come on " Bender said coughing. Leela immediately frowned , " I have to pay for my own flowers " she said angrily.

" Look , I don't stand around here all day for free you know , cough it up or else , their going it the bin". Leela immediately narrowed her eye , rummaged through her bag. Then placed a few notes on his hand , then grabbed the flowers off him , and headed into Planet Express. With Bender being left whistling happily counting the notes in his hand.

The doors of the Lounge area slid open and in came Leela holding the roses in her hand , but not looking very happy. " Hey Leela " Fry said smiling as she came through the doors. " Oh , uh Hey " she replied. " So , do you like them? " Fry asked with a big cheesy grin on his face.

Leela then looked down at the flowers and smiled. " Their beautiful " she added and slowly walked up to him , and gave him a peck of the cheek. Fry then smiled and looked back at Amy , who was sitting staring at Leela with her eyes widened.

" So , does this mean you'll go out with me ? " Fry asked smiling. But once he said those last few words , Leela's face immediately changed. " Oh , don't tell me all this is a trick , to try and get me to go out with you" She shouted at Fry.

Fry immediately shook his head , " No , no it's just I thought maybe we could go for dinner that's all " Fry added quietly. " Well , we're not " Leela shouted and stormed passed him. Leaving Amy who was sitting behind them shaking her head.

Fry the just stood their letting his head fall. Leela them slowly turned round feeling guilty and looked at him. She then let out a sigh , and folded her arms. " Oh alright " she added. Fry's face immediately changed , as he turned round and looked at her smiling , " Really " he said happily.

But Leela just replied with a slight nod. Making Fry jump high in the air. She then watched Fry run out the room like a big kid. " And about time to " Amy added , Leela just looked at her and narrowed her eye.

Leela stood in front of her mirror combing her hair. She quickly grabbed a scrunchy , which was lying next to her , and tied her long purple hair in its usual ponytail. She then clipped , two earrings on , grabbed her bag and headed out the room.

She walked briskly along the dark , streets of New new York. Only hearing the sound , of her pink high healed shoes. As she passed a shop, she looked in the window , and turned round to make sure , her short purple skirt , and pink top was OK.

A cold , breeze then blew along the street , making Leela shiver as she walked. It was cold , dark , and quiet , and not a soul in sight. Just around the corner , stood Fry , wearing his usual black tuxedo suit , that he wore to most dinners.

With his 2 Orange spikes gelled back , and in his right hand a bouquet of flowers , and under his left arm , a box of heart shaped chocolates. Fry felt proud , and handsome , as he stood and waiting on his date.

As Leela headed along the pavement , she could hear hard footsteps behind her. Not thinking much of it at first , she continued along the pavement at a usual speed. But the footsteps , got louder, making her start to feel nervous.

As she tried to walk faster , the footsteps got faster. Leela now was scared. She immediately stopped and turned round , but their was nothing. Nothing was behind her. All she could hear was the sound of an old slurm can rolling along the wet ground.

But Leela knew , someone was there. She could feel someone was watching her. She slowly narrowed her eye , and was about to turn round when , a cold manly hand reached out and covered her mouth.

Leela then dropped her pink bag on the ground and tried to free herself, but another hand grabbed her arm and quickly pulled her back into the shadows. Back at Elzar's Fry stood patiently waiting on Leela who by now was 20 minutes late.

He was now starting to get worried. As he stood, a blast of thunder tore through the sky , making him jump , and then came the rain. Fry now was nervous , he knew Leela wasn't the type of person to stand him up.

As he stood waiting , along the pavement came Bender smoking a cigar and two Floozies at either side of him. " Hey meatbag , where's the eyeball? " he asked puffing out some smoke. " I don't know " Fry replied.

" She was meant to meet me hear 20 minutes ago ". " Ha ha! don't tell me the eyeball has actually stood you up " Bender said laughing. But Fry just replied with a shrug.

" OK , well then see you later , I've got some business to attend to " Bender said in a flirty voice, making the Fembots giggle as they headed off. By now Fry knew she wasn't coming. He slowly looked down at the flowers and scowled. Threw them , in a bin next to him along with the chocolates , and then headed off down the road , with his hands in his pockets.

Leela stood in shock in the alleyway , as the man held his hand over her mouth. She couldn't see a thing except a dull light from the street. Leela could tell that the man was waiting for two robots to pass them before he let her go.

After the two robots passed the street in front of them , the man then slowly took his hand away from her mouth , not knowing that Leela was about to slash out. Leela surprisingly bent her leg , then kicked the man in the knee with her high heeled shoe , making him fall to the ground yelling.

She then jumped back , grabbed her bag , and ran out onto the street , looking into the dark alleyway. " Who's there? " she shouted angrily , trying to find where he was. Then all of a sudden limping footsteps came closer to her.

Leela then slowly stepped back, feeling afraid. As the footsteps got closer Leela's eye widened as the man , appeared out of the shadows of the alleyway. " FRY " she shouted. " What the hell do you think your doing? " she yelled at him . But Fry just stood there gazing at her.

" You Asshole why did you do that? , what the he... " but Leela slowly stopped talking as she looked at they way he was dressed. He was an absolute mess. His hair was all messy and sticking out, his two orange spikes were squint. He also had a bit of facial hair growing.

His clothes were so much different to what he used to wear. He wore his usual blue jeans , but then were such a mess, you could see the top of his white shirt. But instead of his red jacket , he wore a Brown one which was zipped the whole way up to his neck.

" Fry , What the hell has happened to you? " Leela asked. But Fry just continued to gaze at her as if he hadn't seen her in years. " What's wrong with you? , stop looking at me like that? " she shouted.

But Fry just continued to look at her. By now Leela was getting worried , " Fry , answer me forgot sake " she yelled at him. " Oh , Leela you don't how long I've been waiting to see you " he muttered. " What? " she replied bewildered.

" Leela , I can't believe I'm seeing you right now , god it's been so long " he said again slowly walking up to her. Leela then froze as Fry slowly , walked up to her. He then gazed into her eye, and quickly grabbed her and kissed her.

But Leela , immediately pushed him off , making him fall to the ground. " What the hell are you doing? " she screamed at him. " I'm sorry , It's just I haven't seen you , in 3 years " he replied pushing himself up from the ground , and brushing the dust from his coat.

Leela slowly scowled at him , " What? , Fry you saw me not 2 hours ago ". Fry then smiled and rubbed his head, " Wait a minute , what date is it " Fry said panicking. " it's valetines day " she replied scowling at him.

" oh god " he replied scratching his head , " Look , Leela I need you to come with me " Fry said holding his hand out. " Where? " Leela asked. " Never mind where , just some where , away from here , somewhere far away , Please! I need you " he shouted holding out his hand again.

But Leela just stared at his hand and stepped back. " Fry , you've gone nuts " she replied pulling away. " Look , Leela if you don't come with me now , something bad will happen to you , and this time I won't be their to save you , I can't go through another 3 years without you ".

Leela just stared at Fry , with her mouth opened and looking at him angrily. " Get away From me Fry " she shouted and ran along the street as fast as she could. " Leela wait! " Fry shouted as he watched her run along the street. But Leela just ignored him , and kept on running.

" So , she stood you up " Amy asked Fry as they sat together in the Planet Express Lounge. " Ha! , I knew she'd do that , see Fry , that's how selfish she is " Amy said angrily sitting back in the chair , and resting her feet up on the table.

" Yeah , I guess your right " Fry replied sighing, " I just never thought she's actually do it , I mean I never knew Leela was that type of person ". " Well now you know " Amy added scrolling her eyes over a magazine.

Fry then just slowly nodded and rested his head in his arms. " I just feel so stupid ". Amy then looked up at him , and smiled. " Don't be she...". But Amy immediately stopped talking when both of them turned their heads, to the door hearing someone stamping their feet , along the ground.

Then all of a sudden the doors of the lounge slid open and in came Leela with an angry look on her face. " Fry , you Asshole " Leela shouted pointing at him. " I'd say that's the other way around " Fry said standing up and facing her.

" Excuse me " . " You stood me up last night , you made me stand their like an idiot , for about half and hour". " Fry , I stood you up because you followed me outside my house , and grabbed me , while I was heading along the street".

" You scared the living daylights out of me , not only that , but you started talking a load of crap , like you were drunk ". Fry obviously not knowing what she was, talking about stepped back and looked at her bewildered.

" What? " he asked , " I didn't do that to you , I was standing outside Elzars waiting on you the whole time ". " No , Fry You followed me along the street , and grabbed me scaring me , and plus you were wearing a brown coat and you looked a mess".

" Oh yeah " Amy added interupting their argument , " that reminds me , last night you came to my door , looking for Leela , you said you were in a hurry , and you were wearing a brown jacket just as you said".

Fry then screwed up his face , and looked at Amy and Leela having no idea what they were on about. " You two have gone nuts " he said turning away from them. " No , Fry I think your the one that's gone nuts " Amy added as he headed out the lounge ignoring her.

Bender strutted along the pavement ,from planet express , with his arms moving back and forth, and a cigar hanging out his mouth. It was a beautiful sunny , and he felt happy , and looking forward to getting drunk with Fry.

As he headed passed an alleyway , he heard a voice that he recognised. " Psst! Bender " the voice said. Bender quickly stopped and turned his mechanical head , to see who was calling him. " FRY " he said , who was crouched behind a bin.

" What the hell happened to you? " Bender asked him staring at the mess he was in. " Hey , what happened to your red jacket? ". " Never mind Bender , look Where's Leela I need to find her?" Fry asked stepping out from behind the bin.

" Why the hell do you want to see , the eyeball? , when she stood you up last night " Bender asked Fry , who was brushing of dirt from his clothes. " What? oh never mind , look I really need to find her , before 4 o' clock to day , it's urgent ".

Bender just stared at him , before pointing to the planet express building. " She's where she usually is at this time ". " OK , could you tell her to meet me here" , " Why , do I have to, can't you ? " .

" Look , Bender just do it " Fry shouted , making people stare at him as they passed. " Alright , alright I'll do it Jeez" , Bender replied walking away leaving Fry , who immediately ran back behind the bin.

Uh oh, trouble. I guarantee this will not end nicely

" Hey eyeball " Bender shouted as he headed into the lounge area where Leela was. " The meatbag wants to you meet , him down town". "Why? " Leela asked confused. " I don't know , I just passed him on the street , a minute ago , and their he was sitting behind a bin".

" I can tell you , he looked as if he hadn't washed in a week". " But , I just spoke to him not 5 minutes ago " Leela replied knowing something funny was going on. " Well , all I know is that...". " Hey Leela " Amy called as she walked into the Lounge interupting Bender.

" Fry , just told me he wants you to meet him over at that coffee shop ". Leela then looked out the window and across the street , to where the coffee shop was standing , then turned her head back to Bender and Amy.

" OK , something funny going on here " Leela added sitting down rubbing her head. " First of all I get kidnapped by Fry , out of the blue , secondly you two are saying I've to go and meet up with him when He's...".

As Leela continued to talk , the normal Fry walked through the doors , making everyone gasp. " What the.." Bender shouted as he looked at Fry. " How the hell did you manage to get cleaned up that quick? " Bender asked Fry.

But Fry just looked at him weirdly. " Fry , what are you doing here ? , you just told me you were meeting Leela , down at the coffee shop ". " No I didn't " Fry added. " Yes you did , you did it to Bender as well ".

" uh , what are you guys talking about? , I've been here the whole time , I didn't ask yous to tell Leela to meet up with me ". As the 3 crew member stood arguing , Leela sat in the corner trying to pull together , what was going on.

" Fry , stop playing a stupid trick on us , we saw you standing outside , you asked us.." , " Amy , SHUT UP !" Leela shouted. Amy then closed her mouth and stared at Leela along with Fry and Bender doing the same thing.

" OK , Something funny is definitely going on here , Fry what the hell do you think your doing to us? " . Bender and Amy then turned their heads and scowled at Fry , who was standing there all innocent like. " Uh , what are you talking about? , I'm not doing anything , Why are you all ganging up on me like this? ".


But the three of them just continued to stare at him , with their angry faces. " Look , I've done nothing wrong , How can I be in 2 places at once? ". But they just continued to glare at him with their angry faces.

" Alright fine , I'm going " Fry said to them scowling before, he turned his back and left the lounge area. Fry then slowly headed outside where the place he felt happy , the coffee shop. He smiled , and sat down and grabbed the menu which was facing him.

As he scrolled over the Menu he heard a voice , next to him. He then placed the Menu , down on the table , and gasped as an exact duplicate of him , stood facing him , with a brown jacket on , the to Fry's just glared at each other in shock.

I've been busy these last few , days and have written the next part out so I'll post it tomorrow.

OK , here's the next Part. It's not much but it will have to do for now , I'll try and finish it tomorrow night , and have it up tomorrow as well.




Fry could not believe his eyes , as his duplicate stood in front of him. " What the hell are you doing here " Fry shouted angrily , making everyone around in the coffee shop stare at him. " Follow me , and I'll explain everything " Fry's duplicate replied , before crossing the road , and heading into an alleyway.

Fry then slowly but surely , followed feeling a bit afraid. " Where are you? " Fry shouted down the dark alleyway. " Over here " a voice replied from behind the bins. Fry then slowly headed , screwing up his face at the smell coming from the bins and the flies around him. " OK , explain to me how this is possible, how on earth did you get here? , where are you from? ".

Fry asked his duplicate who was sitting down on the ground crouched up. " Well , I'm you 3 years from now , I'm came back here to do one thing , I'm going to do it , something very important , and I need your help". Fry then raised and eyebrow , pulled over a box from a nearby bin , and sat down.

" OK , but how dd you manage to come back in time"?. Fry's duplicate the rumaged in his pocket , pulling out a piece of scrunched up paper , revealing rows of numbers. " It's the timecode , I managed to write it down , before Nibbler zapped it off my butt , I knew it would come in handy one day , and it did ".

Fry looking down at the scrunched up paper , thought for a minute before passing it back to his duplicate. " OK , what are you wanting me to help you with ?".

" I need you to tell Leela , to meet me here , it's very important , I need her " Fry's duplicate replied , placing the piece of screwed up paper back in his pocket. But Fry's face immediately screwed up , the minute he said those last few words.

" Leela's going to die , what are you talking about? " Fry shouted at his duplicate in the alleyway. " Look , just calm down " Fry's duplicate said , sitting him down onto a box next to him. " The Only reason I came back in time was to save Leela ".

Fry duplicate added, watching Fry who was sitting trying to hold back his tears. " I am from the year 3012 , and today at 3009 , at 4 o'clock something terrible happened". " I was sitting at the coffee shop , drinking a coffee as usual , I was fed up and had just had a row with Leela Bender and Amy".

" As I sat , Leela came out Planet Express must have saw me across the street , tried to cross , but she was hit by some drunk driver in a hover car". " She died instantly". " I went through 3 years with out her , knowing I'd never see her again , but realised I had the time code , and then it donned on me ".

" So that's why I came back in time , to save Leela , but I need you help will you help me? ". But Fry just sat staring at his duplicate not knowing what to believe. He then raised his eyebrow , and folded his arms. " OK , I'll help " he eventually said making his duplicate smile.

" I think we were a bit harsh on Fry " Leela said as she sat with Amy in the Planet Express Lounge watching all my circuits. " Maybe , I should go and talk to him " , " Spleesh , Leela what's the point , he's been playing silly tricks on us".

But Leela slowly shook her head , and grabbed her coat which was draped along a chair , " No , something funny is going on , I'll see you later " , Leela said to Amy before she left the room , Amy as usual just waved at her being stuck up.

Outside Leela stood , with her hand over her eye , trying to shield it from the sun which was beaming down upon her. She slowly looked at the other side of the street , trying to look for Fry. As she looked she caught a glimpse of Bender who was standing behind a guy, stealing his wallet out the back of his trousers.

She smiled , then making sure there was nothing coming headed along the street. But all of a sudden she heard something , she looked to her left , and a hover car , was coming towards her full speed. Leela screamed at the top of her voice , but then was pushed out of the way of the hover car.

She then fell onto the pavement banging her head off the lampost. But hearing a huge screech , and huge bang , and everyone around her gasped. Leela quickly got herself up , and turned round to see a crowd of people behind her.

Leela could tell it was someone she knew , pushing passed the crowd she gasped as Bender sat on the ground trying to comfort his best friend , who was face down on the ground unconscious.

" Fry " Leela screamed as she fell to the ground in tears. She then placed her hand on his shoulder and looked at his with tears flowing down her cheek. But then all of a sudden , she heard a voice from behind her , " Leela ". Leela quickly got up and gasped , as the Fry she knew stood behind , with not a scratch on him.

Leela just ran towards him , throwing her arms around his neck , and kissing him. While the Fry on the ground , slowly turned his head and smiled as he saw Leela giving Fry a kiss. He closed his eyes then , slowly let his head fall to the ground.
