Elzar is a one big parody. Hes made of directly out of an american TV chef. Ellan or something. This is not the best gag. Just one in a million.

I've always thought the visual gags were pretty clever. I love looking in the background for odd things or visual references to pop culture. And I agree with Ace, Elzar being based on Emeril Lagasse is pretty funny, although I don't think Emeril would ever be quite as caustic.

Oh! I just thought of a good joke...not so sure how "clever" it would really be, but when Fry cashes out his bank account and gets his own 20th-century apartment, Leela refers to his music (at that point, "Baby Got Back" by Sir Mix-A-Lot) as "classical." Haha! :lol:

Emeril Lagasse is a famous chef here in the States. He has a couple cooking shows on TV and he's really funny to watch--he says "BAM!" all the time, makes funny little sound effects for stuff and seems like he has a pretty good sense of humor.

Zapp Brannigan cracks me up!! He was on one of last night's eps and I couldn't stop laughing every time I saw him. Billy West really did a fantastic job with that character (as he does with all the others he plays...wow...what a talented guy!).

Aw...now I'm sad...there's no Futurama on Friday nights here! I really want to watch it! Dang!

Yeah, are those called taglines? And where on here is there a complete listing of them??? (ive been searching). And of course, there's always the little snippet of retro cartoon on the billboard that gets crashed into during the opening credits.

Here's another one I liked--in the ep "Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love?" the group goes to the gym. As they walk through you see people on the different machines, and there's one lady on a machine called the "Kegelcizer." Oh, that made me laugh hard. Hehehe!
