According to my parents I've been a Beatles fan since before I was born. Twenty-seven years later and I'm still a huge fan.
I can't decide on a favorite song. There are way too many! But "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" is known as my "happy song." Meaning that whenever I listen to it, it makes me happy no matter what mood I'm in.
On a side note, what did fellow Beatle fans think of the movie "Across The Universe?"

I'm a big fan of the Beatles. Maybe not as obsessed or knowlegeable about their catalog as some other people I know, but I know I like them.
As for "Across the Universe"...
I really liked some of their versions of certain songs, like Across the Universe, Happiness is a Warm Gun, and All My Loving. But as a film, it didn't really hold any water. It was kind of like a bunch of musical theater music videos strung together for a couple of hours. I'm not complaining as I can enjoy something like that; it just wasn't one of my favorites.
The Eddie Izzard cameo was a plus tho. :)

i thought across the universe as a whole was done very well. but there are obvious scenes and certain songs i wish weren't in it. it started feeling too "Rent" for me at some points. But i still liked the concept and own the movie on blue ray.
the bowling ally scene with I've just seen a face is my favorite, and also my favorite song that they cover.

I thought the movie was alright. I mostly just like the songs to be honest. As an avid fan of musicals, I thought it kinda dragged during some scenes. I remember everyone telling me how sad it was, but it really wasn't that bad. Moulin Rouge was a lot sadder and I enjoyed that movie a lot more.
Although I have to agree with Sharktopus. Eddie Izzard doing "Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite" was hilarious. It was also the creepiest thing I have ever seen in a musical. And I know I may get some slack for this, but I loved Bono as Dr. Robert doing "I Am The Walrus."

I like the song "Honey Pie" because it sounds very old-timey. Like 1920's old-timey. That kind of music reminds me of The Shining for some reason.
Here's a link, because I know a lot of people don't really know about it. Not one of their most famous songs.
