Already picked up my copy of Death Magnetic, it was a sign Metallica isn't dead. I can't spoil the excitment of the songs and how similar they sound to early Metallica, so all I'm gonna tell you is that you won't put up with the horrible drum sound like on St. Anger. I can tell that Metallica put a lot of effort in this release because otherwise, we'd have a St. Anger Pt. 2.

hmm. i still don't trust it, metallica started going downhill since ...And Justice for ALL so i'll have to listen to some stuff first. i'd never just go buy one of their "new" albums now, it's too much of a chance.

I, for all intents and purposes, worshipped these guys back when I was in middle/high school. I officially turned my back when they went epic fail several years ago.
The only one I still have some kind of respect for is Hammett, he is after all, a disciple of Satriani!

Yeah, old school Metallica will always rule! I still have all my CDs, they just stop at the black album!
Their huge box set, Live Sh*t: Binge & Purge was the last release of theirs I was proud to stand in line to purchase.
