they've been working on a halo movie haven't they?
i've been waiting patiently for the damn Ender's Game movie, they've been talking about it since 2001, i'm getting impatient. aside from that i'd dig The Dark Tower: Gunslinger made into a film, but lately stephen king movies haven't been doing so well.

I think it would be good if it was about the UNSC soldiers like in the live action sequence with the chief rather then just him.

Mine has to be the Gunslinger series by Stephen King as well. There's so much in those books that would translate well on screen.
They'd have to make about 7 of them though so it'd probably be better as a mini series.

It'd be a dream for me if someone did make it. I have been reading the books for about 20 years now and waited patiently for each one to come out.
It'd have to have a pretty huge budget to fit in all of the effects needed in some of the later books but look at how well Heroes does their effects, no problem.
Just had a wee look and it seems they are looking at making films yay! Stephen King's Dark Tower Movies - Your doorway to The Dark Tower (http://www.darktowermovies.com)

House of Leaves is probably the most original book written in a long time.
Sorry this is going to be long, but it's a really complex and unique plot.
It starts out in the narrative about a man named Johnny Truant who works in a tattoo shop as an apprentice. He is forced to search for a new apartment. His friend tells him about this one place where this weird old blind writer lived. So they go to check it out. In the place they find a series of writings called The Navidson Record, about a supposedly real documentary with the same name. The book then switches between 4 different narratives (including Johnny's), and one of them being the Navidson Record, which is about a photojournalist name Will Navidson who just moved into a new house. He comes back from a vacation and finds there is a door in his bedroom that wasnt there before he left. Behind the door is a short hallway that leads to his kids room. One day as he is redecorating the place and taking measurements he notices that the space inside of the house is a quarter of an inch bigger than the outside of the house. He checks and rechecks, and get's the help of professionals to help recheck. After a short amount of time the quarter of an inch becomes and inch and so on. The house keeps growing on the inside, but remains looking exactly the same on the outside. New doors pop up. Hallways and staircases stretch for miles. They send a man inside who is known for being a great survivalist to explore the ever growing insides of the house.
The Navidson Record, as being read by Johnny starts to affect him negatively in different ways.
The structure of the text in the book is unique too. It moves from a standard layout to the words on the page mimicking events in the story. For example, there is a part where they are being chased and some pages have few words on them so you're flipping quickly, almost emulating the feel of running. Words move in different directions, patterns, are backwards, held in boxes, etc. There are a copious amount of footnotes written in different narratives (Johnny commenting on the Navidson Record, Zampano, the blind man who wrote the Navidson record, even fake editors), the footnotes usually refer to other footnotes or reference books or other things that don't exist. Every time the word House appears, even in different languages, it is in blue. Minotaur in red.
wikipedia it, it's really interesting

I have been wanting to see Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk for years. It was planned long ago, but then canceled because of the whole plane crash theme after 9-11, which is gay because it has nothing to do with terrorism.
