If there's one person I really hate in Futurama, it's Zapp Brannigan. I hate him as much as Leela does. The one thing I'd like to see happen to the most is for Leela to beat Zapp to a bloody pulp. And when Zapp's eyes grow cold and dead, the hell Leela will send him to will seem like heaven after the brutal punishment she dishes out at him.

I'd say the hypno toad is the only character I've never cared for on the show. Zapp is not a favorite, he borders on annoying, but thats the way he's supposed to be. They didn't write him into the story thinking "people are going to love this guy!" They wrote him in because he moves the story and brings a handful of solid jokes and one-liners to episodes.

If you listen to the commentary, Cubert is meant to be the character who is the dork on the internet pointing out all the mistakes of the show. He brings a realistic opinion into the show. Sure he's annoying, but isn't any character who would pull the sci-fi out of this show?

I couldn't stand Yivo. The ending of Beast With a Billion Backs didn't work for me when it just descended into dating humor. Seemed like they were going for a grander theme in the beginning of the film, but by the end it was sitcom-style dating jokes. So fair or not, I hold a grudge against Yivo for this.
