I haven't seen the trailer yet, only some production photos. Anyone familiar with director Darren Aronofsky (Pi, Requiem For A Dream, The Fountain) will know that his movies are out of the ordinary and not very main stream. His works are visionary and sometimes disturbing, all in all one hell of a experience :).

He was one of the directors who tried and was very close in the process of kick starting the Batman franchise by adapting the "Batman - Year One" as the basis for a new and dark Batman movie, which eventually paved the way for Batman Begins.
