Yes but it is arguably the best episode. Definately the most emotional(7 leaf clover comes close though). It should be required to watch =/

Not at all, but the sadest Futurame episode is the one with the giant bee and when Leela is in a coma.

I find this to be an amazing episode, a lot of subtle humor woven into the wonderful writing. The episode delves much deeper in to Fry and Bender's friendship as well, and that it is not a one sided friendship as the show had lead us to believe up until this point. The main heart of the episode is typical Futurama but the strength of the ending alone carries it above many episodes for me.
I think what's so shocking about the ending, is that the episode never allows you to predict it, and it suddenly is upon you. The episode could have ended on a high note, which we were lead to believe throughout, and the bond between Fry and Bender is strengthened when Bender goes after seymour's dolomite formation. Fry's apparently logical conclusion that Seymour had lead a happy life when Fry was frozen is understandable, yet in a shocking turn of events this is not the outcome we were lead to believe.
I find the ending harrowing and cruel, it isn't predictable or cliche, and it's incredibly heart breaking when the music kicks in. Sure you probably have to be an animal lover to really understand the full nature of the ending, but I myself enjoyed this classic and masterfully written ending to an episode that's more of emotion that wise-cracking jokes. An excellent change of heart for Futurama, and a rightly deserved classic episode if you ask me. :)

Okay, this goes too far.. You have answer my question now, it's not meant to be an insult:
This behaviour.. it must be an act.. it must be. A 15 year old guy can't be serious when he says these kind of things. If it's an act.. drop it, I've seen you post serious posts as well on some other forums. Those posts were a lot different from what you do here.
If it's not an act, than I'm sorry but you need a doctor.

And sickening? Posting that you're holding your poop up is healthy..

I voted yes, it has to be the saddest episode ever, i really don't like to watch this episode to often because of the sadness of Seymour, which is a shame because it has some great jokes in it......And Leela almost showing her rack!! lol

I don't think it's the saddest episode in television history, but it's the saddest Futurama one. Only a few shows have made me cry; Futurama, The Wonder Years and Scrubs. There's probably more that I can't think of right now. But Jurassic Bark had me bawlin'

This was the last episode I had seen (just a couple of weeks ago), and it took a toll on me, so much so that I don't think I could watch it again. I'm not an emotional guy, but I love dogs so this just felt like a punch in the gut. 12 years...That is so sad for a dog to do that. It shows why dogs are so great. I think that my dog would do that for me which is what I find so sad. I was talking to the TV when I saw this telling Fry to do the cloning. The ending of this episode was by far the saddest thing I've seen on a TV show.
