Twilight is exactly what is wrong with books these days

The author looked at what the most shallow stupidest teenage girls wanted to see in men and thought "vampires are awesome i think i'll f*** up hundreds of years of legend and folklore to make some cash and get some teenage girls wet".

ampires were based on Vlad the Impaler (Vlad Dracul, with an A added to mean "Son of" Dracul meaning "Devil" or "Dragon") and Judas (Which gave them the weakness to silver, and sunlight).

How the f*** did she turn the combo of these two into Edward?

It's for fagdykes who can't handle vampire badassery.

everything f***ing gays up vampire mythology. Take the original legends (, from Vlad Tepes II, Judas, and baby thieves) and Stoker's novel, and leave it well the fuck alone.

All the new cocksucking bullsh*t makes vampires look like emo "goth" fa***ts, when the originals were clever, sharply-dressed, vicious individuals.

I think the books provide an interesting twist to vampires. Of course, the old stories would always be better, but it is nice to see a book where the vampires have their own story, can go out during the day, don't drink human's blood, and interact as normal humans. Besides, no one is asking you to like it. This is basically a book for teenage girls, what with the love story. And I don't think the author is trying to overshadow old vampire legends.

She is not destroying classic literature. Her books do not relate to them. She is writing her own version, and it doesn't matter at all if you think she is ruining books. She is entitled to write her own stories however she sees fit, and frankly it doesn't friggin matter if you don't like them or not. And most of the people I talk to think the books are amazing, though I wish she had written in Edward's point of view once in awhile, especially in New Moon. Bella is a delicate clumsy human who gets on my nerves sometimes with her fickleness, Edward of course is perfect (kinda bugged by that) and Jacob can be annoying too, but the characters still all have perfectly acknowledgeable personalities

It always kind of irked me that Meyers seemed to think that making her avatar read 'big books' is a replacement for actual character development. She lists the books and music tastes of Bella in a blantent show of 'name-dropping.' It's all to show us how smart and cultured Bella is. Lets not forget how Bella is completely oblivious to all the boys being attracted to her, strangely this situation also happened to Meyers ::cough::MarySue::cough::

Also the fact that these people are living in Washington, state of Seattle, and not one mention is made of the grunge scene. This is supposed to be a normal high school, yet there is not one garage band. Seriously, even a passing mention of a garage band would have been nice. There appears to be no 'hang-out' for the students either, again proof that Meyers can't write believable teenage characters and the teenage scene.

A rip-off and complete garbage...the only good thing about the books is the nice cover picture. Also another friend who reviewed the books pointed out that Twilight is very useful for burning.
