View Full Version : Couple of things...

Well, I don't mean to be critical because I loved this movie, but I have a couple of things that I want peoples opinions on, or things that confused me that I need explained...
First off, if Bender went back in time to steal everything that was of value, why would it still be worth anything after he stole it? Wouldn't it lose its place in history, and thus, its signifigance?
Second of all, where did that tatoo of Bender come from to begin with? It's kind of a never ending circle, because it was on Fry's butt because Bender went back in time and stuck it there, but Bender COULD go back in time to stick it there BECAUSE it was on Fry's/Lars' butt... confusing.
Thirdly, and the most confusing of all... Well, if you recall from "Jurassic Bark" *spoiler* The dog dies waiting for Fry... but in this movie the dog gets fast-fossilized from the explosion... the only thing I could think of was that all this time traveling resulted in split timelines... though I could be wrong.
Feel free to express your opinions, and I apologize if any of these points have been brought up before, and for anything I misspelled, I was thinking of all of this while I was trying to go to sleep last night and I can't believe I managed to remember it all.

1. well as proffessor explained those things were timecode duplicates so things that bender took was doomed anyways.. And so when bender went back in time it was really a duplicate world..but normal to those peolpe who lived there..in my opinion
2. Aah to explain that is reall hard like this(cant put it into words really)
Just i like to explain it that time is a circle, when bender went back, then it was put to frys butt, so fry went back in time to eat pizza and froze himself but then were 2 frys at that time and the second one went back to pizza place (then bender blowed up house) but he survived and froze himself too so becoming lars.. and then just at the end when bender took it from lars and went back to put in frys butt and he circle starts again.. its sound confusing but it really is not.. and like fry said universal timecode was bound to be somewhere why not hes butt lol
3. Well accually in JB dog didnt die waiting for fry and it didnt show there how he got fossilized so, proffessor said that something caused dog to quickly fossilized.. so that explosion fossilized dog and there you go..
nothing to it..

But about that ^ At the very end of Jurassic Bark, it showed time passing, and it also showed Mr. Pinnuchi coming out and petting Seymoure and he was much older, they both were. In Bender's Big Score, supposedly no time passed... Well, very little time passed.

i had to watch this movie like 3 times before it even made sense to me. but i still liked it.
I have a theory regarding Seymour actually; there has been minor alterations on the timeline. While it's shown in Timeline A (the usual episode canon) that Pannuci has aged and so has the dog, the passage of time may well have changed; hell, we have duplicates of Fry, and the timeline corrects itself by destroying duplicates, what harm can preserving the dog early do?
In Timeline B, Bender went back in time to kill Fry, which may well have been the alteration (we aren't shown this in the episode "Jurassic Bark" for obvious reasons - it hadn't been conceived yet) and it may well be that that event has always been present; after all, this is the past, you can't insert anything new in the past, as it's already happened.

you know, it has been proved that time travel is possible, but afterwards the universe collapses. and you can see why xD

The time lapse in Jurassic Bark could be 12 years. Hey, lots of older people age quickly, and look when Fry goes to the North Pole to go get Leelu, Mr Pannuchi is in a wheel chair. It could be that Mr. Pannuchi watched Seymour while Fry was away. And, dog's don't really live that long, and they never said how old Seymour was when Fry found him (he could have been 3). So, it is very possible that Seymour lived with Fry/Lars and when you see time pass in Jurrassic Bark, you see Seymour while Fry/Lars is away, doing is his thing with Leelu at the aquarium, and then when he goes to the North Pole. Mr. Pannuchi and Seymour (and Fry/Lars both aged) over the 12 years, and that when Bender blew up the apartment, Seymour got flash frozen at the ripe old age of 15. It works, really, if you think about it.

it could all be happening in parallel universes
and i've watched the movie countless times (and loved it) but it still confuses me and probably always will....

if you payed attention to the movie, seymore was basically 15 in 2012, thats when he was fast fossilized too. That was also the age he was when he died that they mentioned in Jurrasic Bark. KING ZOIDY does it again, hurray everybody.

Now is it sad that this movie still confuses me? I guess I just can't wrap my head around time travel. I try not to think about it too much...it makes my brain sad.

Hold on, hold on.
The stuff with Seymour makes sense.
But the tattoo still has no 'origin'. When was that bit of skin tattooed with Bender's face and the code? They never explain when any character actually goes to the tattoo parlor and has it done.
