What are your general opinions regarding emoticons and smilies? I find that they are a crutch for me in some ways... mainly because I'm often joking or sarcastic, and I worry that it will come off wrong without a winking smilie... I wish I didn't use them at all, but hey, what are you gonna do?
Smilies make messages less apropriate.

It can also help avoid confusion.
For example:
Okay... (agreement)
Okay... :? (confused perosn thinking something is very wierd)

I have loads on my forum, I love them, I did get a little carried away with them though :?
You need to get more for here, its really easy to add them.
