[Fruitosaurus]

The Monkey’s Paw
Note: This is my first fanfic in a trilogy, so do not send me flames or I’ll send my Helldog after you!

[Cut to Fry, Bender and Leela on the couch.]
Fry: I’m bored of politics. Let’s watch the Simpsons!
Leela: No! I’m watching politics!
Bender: All my circuits?
Both: No!
Fry: Simpsons!
Leela: Politics!
Fry: Simpsons!
Leela: Politics!
T.V: Next, is Zapp Brannigan talking about whom we should vote for!
Leela: Simpsons!
She changes the channel
[Opening sequence. Caption: Hey you! If you change the channel your T.V will go out!]
[Cut to same shot of the Futuristic Trio on the couch]
All three are laughing at the T.V
Fry: What will Bart do next?
The Professor walks in.
Professor: News, everyone! You’ll be delivering a package to a small store on the criminal planet Catastrophicon.
Fry: Is it dangerous?
They all laugh loudly
Fry: That never gets old! But, is it very dangerous?
They laugh some more
Professor: Off you go!
[Cut to shot of Catastrophicon. Several explosions happen on the barren brown planet]
[Cut to the P. E. ship landing on the planet. It looks like a bad neighborhood in Old New York crossed with one in L. A.]
Fry: Hey, it looks like my old neighborhood! Ooh, look! There’s a house like my old house!
[Cut to shot of the house he’s pointing at. It looks like someone bombed it twice.]
Bender: Really? It looks like you lived in a pretty crappy house.
Fry: Yup, that’s the old homestead.
[Cut to the Futuristic trio walking into a shop with a store sign saying “ Goods here”. As they walk in, part of the sign falls off, revealing it to say “Evil Goods here”]
The trio walk up to the clerk
Leela: Hi, we’re from Planet Express.
Clerk (which is a Neptunian): Ok, I’ll take my stuff then.
He takes the package
[Meanwhile, Fry and Bender have been looking around the shop.]
Fry: Hey Leela! Look at this!
He’s pointing at what looks like a shriveled monkey’s paw. There’s a card next to it that says grants any wish you speak aloud. Note: For more than one person to participate you must say aloud together to the monkey’s paw.
Fry: So would it make you go on a date with me, Leela?
Leela: I wish Fry wouldn’t ask me to go out with him anymore.
A finger on the monkey’s paw goes down. Suddenly, Fry can’t speak. He tries to say something, but can’t.
Clerk: Hey! You use it you buy it!
Leela: Fine.
She buys it
Leela: C’mon idiots.
The idiots follow her out.
[Cut to shot of P. E. ship coming into the P. E. hanger.]
The Futuristic trio exit the ship
[Time lapse. The Trio is on the couch]
Leela: I wonder if it works?
Bender: Only one way to find out!
Both: I wish that we had lots of money!
Bender: I wonder why the meatbag’s being so quiet! Usually, he whines about not watching the Simpsons!
[Cut to close up of Fry. He’s banging his head against the wall]
Leela: Fry? Say something!
Fry mouths something. He rushes out and comes in with a piece of paper saying "I can't speak!"

Yay, another update!
Leela gasps.
Bender: Meh.
Leela: Why?
Fry shrugs
Leela: When did it start?
Fry scribbles something on the paper. He holds it up and it says, “After you wished I wouldn’t ask you out”
Pause
Leela: So, the monkey’s paw did it?
Fry shrugs again
[Time lapse. It is now nighttime. Cut to outside of Robot Apt. Cut to Fry’s room, where Fry is sleeping in his bed.]
Someone knocks at the door.
Fry (thinking) :Whuh? Who’s there?
Voice outside: Delivery to Mr. Fry!
Fry puts some clothes on, and then answers the door. The delivery boy, who looks like OFF’s Squeaky Teen, hands him a large package and leaves. Fry heads back inside.
Fry (thinking) :Who would send me something?
He looks at the return address, but it says The Monkey’s Paw. He opens it. Inside, there is a small, bomblike object. There’s a card that says, “Will explode once package is opened.”


The bomb explodes in his hands, making a very large cloud of dust. When it clears, there’s a blood spot where Fry was.
[The next day. Cut to shot of P. E. building. Cut to conference table, where the crew, sans Fry and Bender, sits]
Hermes: Where the hell is Fry? He was supposed to be here an hour ago!
Leela: Bender, you’re his roommate. Where is he? (No response) Bender?
The crew realizes Bender is missing too.
Leela: What the hell?
Just then, the doorbell rings. Leela gets up to get it. Squeaky Teen-like delivery boy is there.
Delivery boy: Hi. (He looks down at the paper he’s holding.) Turanga Leela?
Leela: Yes. What’s it to ya?
Delivery boy: Your friend Fry died, leaving you 3,000 dollars. (Dramatic sting of music)
Leela stands there with her mouth open
Delivery boy: Well? Are you gonna take it?
Wow, this was short.

Forgot to mention, but I won't start writing again until someone cares; post reviews of it so far! Also, this is a parody of the famous story "The Monkey's Paw" by W. W. Jacobs.

Fine, have a small story XD


Leela was sitting in the PE conference room, extremely bored. It was a boring day, in a boring month, in a boring year, in a boring decade. Nothing really interesting happened around the office when Fry and Bender were around. Where were they, anyways? She silently prayed she would hear any sirens or explosions soon. With that little thought, she became very nervous about their absence.
Dammit, she thought, Why did I have to think that?
She thought again of the many times Fry and Bender had gotten themselves (and her included) into trouble.
They're probably with some cheap floozies in some dirty bar. Don't worry about it.
Still, the prospect did make her anxious. She suddenly jumped out of her chair. Was that a siren she had heard?!
"Sorry! Slight malfunction with the engine" called Amy.
Leela sighed. She got out of her chair to go look for the duo. She headed for the door, thinking of where they could possibly could've-
"Hi Leela! Sorry we're late" said Fry cheerily
"Fry! Where the hell have you been?! I was worried about you! Don't do that again!"
And with that, Leela stormed out of the room, leaving Fry and Bender thoroughly confused.

As Leela walked along the streets of New New York, she got to thinking. Her first thought was, Maybe I shouldn't have confused them like that.
Her second thought was, Ewww, did I just step in gum?
Leela then decided to go back to her apartment and think for a little while.
Meanwhile.....
"What was that about?"
"I don't know. Wanna go grab a drink?"
"Sure!"
And with that word, Fry and Bender went out to get a drink.
Back at Leela's apartment...
Leela was sitting on her bed thinking about her outburst with Nibbler on her lap.
That was kind of stupid to do that... Gasp! Now I know what it feels like to be Fry!
Nibbler suddenly jumped off and ran to the door.
"Nibbler? Where are you going?" said Leela.
Nibbler then ran over to the kitchen.
"Hey! It's not dinnertime yet!"
Nibbler pulled out a can of Kibbles 'N Bits and devoured the whole thing.
Leela sighed.
Meanwhile again....
"Woo! Nothing like getting hammered with a bunch of cheap floozies, right buddy?"
Fry said nothing, but drank.
"Whatsa matter? Too drunk to speak?"
Fry didn't reply. Bender turned back to the floozies he was partying with.
I wonder where Leela is?
