Hello all,
i'm in a career rut and want some ideas for a change.
what have been your best job, worst job and current job and how does it rate?
my best job was lifeguard and night manager at an indoor swimming pool. Great job, but the wage wasn't good enough.
my worst job was trainee fibreglass laminator, making various sizes of tanks out of grp. very itchy and fumy job.
my current job is carpet cleaner. this has ok days and bad days.

worst job: being a training waiter at this small 5 star restaurant. I quit after my first training day.
best job: multimedia designer. I spend the day in the office doing 3d animations. i get to chat for long periods of time, and occassionaly even go out on corporate lunches and excursions like to the zoo. I'm looking forwards to a helicopter ride too soon. :)
Thankfully my best job is still my current job :)

A bus full of REALLY fit woman asked the 2 of them wehter they would like to be the oil boys for them. They go 'You are in luck...there is a town about half a while down there'. All the woman look at each other puzzled then say bye and drive off. Then one of the 2 goes 'Do you realise what you've done', they go running off to stop the bus and when they do and open the door one of them goes 'sorry my friends a little slow...the towns that way (and points in the other direction).

I'm serious when I tell you guys this, I used to work in a adult video store. A buddy of mine father owned one, he asked if I could help out over one summer. On more then one occasion I was the jizz mopper. No joke, worst job ever. Free porn, yea but bad all together. I learned just how disgusting people can be. I mean how do you tell two guys sorry one person per booth, freaks. Yuuuuccck, makes me sick just thinking about some of things I've seen.
Not surpiresd. Although kike the nude women part!

Oh I've seen that to, couples would come in and purposely leave the door unlocked, not put money in the machine so the red usage light was off, they got a kick out of being caught. Unfortunately there is a flip side, dudes did it to, more then the girls in fact. There's just nothing worst then catching a 60 year old spankin it with a rapist smile on his face.
I think that's why this Foley scandal got me so riled up, I've seen first hand the sexual deviance of these perverts.

I have had a lot of different jobs, I get bored really easy.
My worst job has to be a cleaner in an old folks home. Ewww.
My best job has to be when I was 17, I worked on a fair ground for 6 months. Really hard work, crap pay, but so much fun, and you get to travel round the country. Would not want it as a full time career though.
I am currently having to have a career break as my hubbie had a car accident almost 2 years ago, so I look after him, and I have just started to homeschool my daughter.
I am also doing a bookkeeping course from home, so that I can become self employed and work from home.
Busy, Busy, Busy.

Been there, done that, when I got out of the navy the first job I got was Customer Service Manager for a call center. Good Lord, the people that called, those questions, all I can say is I truly believe God is selective in on who he makes intelligent. Now I know why King Salomon asked for knowledge, to deal with these every day dopes. Yes ma'am can you please take a screen shot and send it to us, the women, may God strike me down if I'm lying, photocopied what was displayed on the monitor by caring the entire computer over to the copy machine, made a copy, then faxed it to us. I still have the fax. Ah yes, call centers, were stress is born and common sense dies.

Best Job: Video Game Testing
Worst Job: Working as a caller for this company called JG Wentworth. I basically sounded like a telemarketer even though i was trying to get in contact with possible clients for the company. My boss's name was Alpha and he was insane. He loved coming into the office and belittling all of us. One day he went down the cubicles and selected every other person and fired them. for no reason. just because he's alpha and he thinks he's god.

Worst job: Tie between being in the Navy and working in a fast-food restaurant. 'Nuff said.
Best job: Going to sea as an engineer on merchant ships. I've been doing that for 17 1/2 years now, and love it. I only work 6 months a year, and the pay is excellent. :thumbup1:

Best job...m'eh. Haven't really had one I liked. When I was at Staples, I got paid pretty well (I thought) and liked my co-workers. That's about the closest I've come to a "best job."
Worst job...toss-up between my caregiver position at an adult family home for Alzheimer's/dementia patients (my boss, though very skilled in nursing, did not know how to handle her employees at all) or the job I had through Virgin Mobile as a customer care representative. You don't know crazy until you've worked in a call center. At least I got some good stories from that one.

Best job: I was an Executive Administration Officer at my last job, which was a great part-time position for a university student like me to have! :)
Worst job: the three jobs I have had in retail...argh.
Current jobs: university student and casual tutor and admin officer. Fun! :(
