Was anyone else disappointed...

After the emotional impact of Jurassic Bark, was anyone else a little disappointed how little we see of Fry and Seymour? I know the Lelu story was the main focus and Seymour's tale was told already, but I was expecting a little more than a pat on the head and a brief bikeride scene. It would have been interesting if Seymour followed Fry this time to the lab, since he tried stopping him originally, and they both ended up frozen, what can I say, I grew up with dogs, I have a soft spot.

I'm going to disregard BBS for the Luck of the Fryrish and Jurassic Bark. Because of BBS they are virtually meaningless and have not sadness/emotion in them because we know that everything turned out fine!

I wish they didn't try in everything with everything else. They really didn't need to!

Couldn't agree more lars. I was shocked when all he did was pat him on the head...after the emotional trip they gave us in jurassic bark it made no sense whatsoever. Oh well.

Yeah it was kind of a disappointment......But the whole film was a
slight disappointment if i'm honest...But i suppose we were waiting 5 years for it...Lot's of time to hype things up.

Agreed. Luck of the Fryrish and Jurassic Bark should be seen as stand-alone episodes in the Futurama canon, or they lose their emotional impact. On the other hand, they're the same for the characters - they'd have no idea what Lars was up to. Still, it was a disappointment they didn't treat the original material more carefully.

I like to think that the events in BBS are on a different timeline due to the non pardox qualities of the time code.

Makes me feel better and I have an image of seymour still waiting patiently in some other year 2000.

It doesn't seem likely, but maybe the next movies will show more glimpses into Lars/Fry 2's life in the past that isn't so Leelu-heavy...
