How many Australian fans watched Futurama every night at 7pm when it was shown on channel 10? I sometimes did, but usually gave it a miss because i've been watching my seasons 1,2,3,4 dvds every day for the past 3-4 years :thumbup1: It's a shame that they've now replaced it with a dreadfully unfunny piece of trash called 'Friends'
Thank god for dvd because anyone currently living in Australia would know how terrible our TV is. We get everything months/years after everyone else, they usually stop shows mid-season, and they chop out bits of the show to fit more mind dumbing ads. and for the past few days they've filled up ENTIRE days (morning/day/night) with boring sport such as tennis or cricket.how many free to air channels do you get in the US?(or whatever country you come from)

I don't like Friends either!! Such a shame. Let's all go to the Channel 10 HQ and burn it.

Hey, Slayer!

Yeah, I'm Aussie, too - our TV can be really irritating sometimes! Although, really, from what I hear, TV in the USA can be just as irritating.

But the hide of replacing Futurama with Friends!

American TV can be quite annoying, even more so now with the damn writers' strike

I can imagine! I wish the studio big wigs would stop being greedy retards and just give the writers what they wants - which, really, is a hell of a lot less tha they deserve financially!

But with the stike, what shows are the American stations currently airing, anyway?

Is the strike showing any signs of breaking? Or is it going to be a repeat of the 22-week 1988 strike?

Pretty much all the established shows are running, but as repeats. It's rather boring. No sign of it ending yet, either. :(

lol you bring the petrol,I'll bring the matches! They seem to be making a big deal out of their new 10HD channel. It's the same boring crap, only now it's high definition crap :sleep2:

Oh, dear!

 No doubt, if the big wigs continue to be stupid, this strike will break 1988's standing 22-week record!

Get your sh*t together, idiots! Without the writers, you are all screwed! :cursing:

Now they're even saying the Academy Awards might not happen because there's no one to write for them

Indeed! Didn't the Golden Globes telecast get cancelled this week due to no writers?

lol And Hollywood awards nights are mostly just an excuse for vain self-worship by certain celebrities and Hollywood power-brokers, but I still like watching (the more exciting parts) of telecasts of such events...

It's great to have the DVDs. Sometimes I just don't wanna stay up late to watch or I'll have something else going on, or it'll be a repeat of an episode I've seen a billion times...just pop in a DVD and pick whatever I want.

I'm totally itching to do a Futurama marathon now...all the episodes back-to-back...I haven't done that yet.

Oooh, a marathon! I did that when I first bought my DVDs (admittedly, not all of them in the one sitting - I did it over a few days!)

I really should do it again when univeristy and so forth isn't breathing down my neck! :)

Aah, I used to constantly watch Futurama on CH 10 before it was replaced by Friends! I don't really mind Friends, but the show replacing Futurama and then The Simpsons' 6pm timeslot is too much for me, now I just tune in to the news..

Does any other Aussies remember the time when Futurama was first out and aired on CH Seven? That channel truely screwed Futurama over, first they attempt to compete it against the new (at the time) episodes of The Simpsons, cancelled it then brought it back a couple of years later at the ever-so-convenient timeslot of midnight... grrrr
