Anyone watch their Futurama DVD's every day/night? If so, which volume/disc is your favorite? Right now I keep disc four from volume four in my bedroom DVD player and play it till i go to sleep :D. They say watching TV in bed is bad sleep hygiene but it seems to work better for me.

I do that too! I find it really comforting. I don't always watch Futurama I can put a nice quiet film on or something but it is susually Futurama! However due to this reason (I've been doing it for about 3 years and I put the DVDs on play all) I have seen EVERY episode hundreds of time as well as all the commentaries.
I love it though, its really comforting. Last night I fell asleep to series 4 the disc with Leela's homeworld and A taste of freedom.
I can NEVER get sick of Futurama.
Remember that quote Fry made about how when he watched Star Trek it felt like he had friends? I was going through a bad patch a few years ago but whenever I watched Futurama, the world always seemed right.:thumbup1:

I actually haven't watched Futurama since last weekend.. Can't watch it all the time, I'd just get tired of it! Besides, I've got so many DVD's I haven't seen yet, I'd better tackle those!

This is exactly the way and the reason I watch Futurama too. It's comforting and since the animation and the art is so vivid it's like watching a dream. The characters are all pretty likable and stories all enjoyable. Hate to sound so sappy but thats the friggin truth. I forget about what's bothering me and i just drift off to sleep or into a more relaxed state . It's a good way to forget about all the negative crap, sometimes I don't even feel like practicin my stabbin. It helps alleviate my anxiety.
When I got the first Volume of Futurama, I watched each dvd like 50 times times till I got the second volume, and so on until I got volume four which was recently.
PS. Should slayer867 be given 12 cyber lashings for losing those precious Futurama dvd's?
Just kidding.

Thats exactly like me! It's strange i've seen each episode 20+ times and watched each episode with commentary, but it still doesn't get boring. I think it's great to put on whilst going to sleep because i can relax my ears, because i know everything that's about to be said. It's sometimes hard falling asleep to live TV because it's hard 'not' to listen. And looking at it now, Futurama is similar to how Fry describes Star Trek. When you know everything about every character they kinda seem like a group of friends. It would be so great to have a brand new season released.

Yep. Ditto. My DVD player has a headphone jack so I just put on the headphones, watch an episode or two and just drift off, sometimes I turn the tv off when my eyes get heavy. FUTURAMA IS SPECIAL!

I have all four seasons on DVD - I got them for just $27.50 each on sale in the slimline cases: I just walked into this DVD shop one day to have a quick browse, and there they were, all four seasons at at least half their usual price! :w00t: Jeez, did I get unusually lucky that day! :)
Just a quick question: does every single Futurama episode come with a DVD commentary? I was pretty sure that they did, but I was watching some episodes a couple of weeks back (I think it was season 1, disc 2, but I'm not 100% certain anymore!), I couldn't access the audio commentary that was supposedly available (as in, it showed up on the audio settings menu, but wouldn't let me click on it with the mouse) to some episodes.
Does this sound correct to anyone? Are some episodes without commentaries? Or was my computer just being a jerk? lol

Well I got the first two volumes when they were $39 each. Then I got vol three and four much later for $20 each. Now I'm going to wait until all the Futurama movies come in one box.
Every single episode has a commentary and sometimes two. It must be your DVD software or something.

Yeah the first series you have to manually choose audio options rather than just flicking between languages. its really irritating but thank god thats only on season one.

Amazon is your friend my friend. But uhhmmm.... if you have a walmart nearby, see if you can snag season four, you might be lucky enough to find three and four there at the same time. I purchased three and four from walmart for $19.99 each.
For those of you who haven't gotten your Futurama DVD's, hurry, before it's too late (duh). I don't know if they are still pressing copies but we all know having the original is the best. Futurama is just about the best set of DVDs I have ever owned.

I have seasons 2, 3, and 4 and I watch them a lot. Not every night, but quite frequently. I love the human horn episode, and the Valentine's episode. Can't recall which discs they're on, though.

Are you talking about the seasons or the movie? All of the episodes have commentary by the creators of the show and some of the cast, and they're great to listen to. You'll also find animatics and deleted scenes and Easter eggs in each season. BBS has a lot of extra features, including a full-length episode of Everybody Loves Hypnotoad and a comic book reading by the cast. Definitely worth checking out.
