West Brom striker Kevin Phillips has been named the Championship's Player of the Month for December.
The 34-year-old returned from a knee injury to score five times in four games, including braces against Bristol City and Scunthorpe.
City's Bradley Orr, Crystal Palace striker Clinton Morrison and Stoke's Ricardo Fuller were also shortlisted.
Chris Kamara, chairman of the awards panel, said: "Kevin was in outstanding goalscoring form in December."
He added: "His back-to-back braces in the games against Bristol City and Scunthorpe were a joy to watch and to still be the Championship's top goalscorer despite more than a month on the sidelines with injury just shows what a tremendous season Kevin is having."
