I used to have a good singing voice before I stopped using it lol, I also played the alto sax, the drums, the guitar,, the piano and the recorder (that last one was thrust upon me as a compolsary thing one year in primary school *rolls eyes*) at one point. But I'm not especially gifted, I don't think.

Ack, I remember having to learn the recorder in elementary school. 30 kids, all of them playing the same song, none of them on the correct note...shrill, deafening, and annoying. And we learned the dumbest song...something called "Bat Dance."

i started taking flute when i was 9 because i desperatly wanted to learn and instrument (particularly violin) but figured my best bet would be to beg my parents for the cheapest intstrument our school offered, and that turned out to be flute.
i was quite gifted at it and after 5 years eventually had to quit because i became too advanced for the classes offered at my school and we couldn't afford private lessons.
So then i taught myself the guitar. i was pretty good at that too :D

it's not so hard, especially since you already know how to read music. they have charts for figuring out your fingering and stuff to learn chords. you have to go really slow at first then eventually you get to speed it up. a friend of mind always said th best and quickest way to master guitar is to learn speed metal music. that REALLY gets your fingers limber lol

If you want to learn I recommend you to search for a teacher. If you don't learn correctly... it will be more difficult and you could take pains because of a mal position.
Also, you won't have fret (are they called frets? xD) and it won't be easy to "find" the notes alone :P
