Great show, should be getting the dvd's for x-mas

The series 2 finale was excelent, pretty spectacular, one of my favourite moments in tv history 8)

My favourite characters are Hurley, Sawyer and Charlie

I'm not gonna watch any of season 3 over the net, i wouldn't want to spoil it for when is comes back on tv

Also, there's supposed to be a VG of it coming out sometime, will be intresting to see how that one turns out...

LOS ANGELES - "Lost" crashed in the ratings this week, hitting an all-time low for a new episode. ABC's drama about plane crash survivors stranded on a mysterious island drew an estimated 12.8 million viewers Wednesday, according to preliminary figures from Nielsen Media Research. That's well off the peak of more than 20 million for the drama that became an instant sensation when it debuted in September 2004.

ABC has worked hard to try to protect a show that helped turn the network's fortunes around, moving it to 10 p.m. EST Wednesday this year to steer clear of Fox's blockbuster "American Idol" and CBS's increasingly strong "Criminal Minds."

After "Lost" fans complained about reruns interrupting the show's serial flow last season, the network tried an experiment: It split the current season in two, airing six episodes before an extended break and then resuming with 16 additional episodes.

The show's Feb. 7 return was heavily promoted and drew nearly 14.5 million viewers. But the bounce didn't last, with the show slumping this week.

Although protected from top-rated "American Idol" in its new time 10 p.m. time slot, "Lost" now has the disadvantage of trying to draw viewers at an hour when fewer people are watching television. This Wednesday, Valentine's Day put a 7 percent dent in overall TV viewership.

In the show's defense, ABC noted that it beat the competition among the advertiser-favored young adult crowd, drawing 7.3 million viewers age 18 to 49 compared to the 5.8 million that tuned in to CBS' "CSI: New York."

"Lost" also handed ABC nearly 4 million more viewers in the time slot compared to last year, when short-lived drama "Invasion" aired, the network said.

But there's no question that "Lost," once riding big ratings, buzz and cachet, has lost significant ground.

Some fans and critics complain that the story has gotten confusing and unsatisfying. The show, named best drama at the 2005 Emmy Awards, was shut out at the 2006 ceremony.

I don't think there was a plane crash, at all. Early in the second season, the pregnancy test was Widmore brand.....I think that's the lab they are all in.
The whispers are the researchers......each death means that person is actually out of the program...and fine.
The creators keep saying over and over that they PROMISE it's not a dream or that they will wake up somewhere else. They sya this on web-sites, dvd commentary, and in live panel disscussions....
I think they ARE on the island...but in a lab.

The final few shows should show them 'finding themselves'.....the dream type sequences are clearly induced....I even may feel Locke is one of the doctors.....placed in the experiment to monitor from the inside.

This aslo explains the time shifting.

But I won't be upset at all if I'm totally wrong!!

It's a great show and whatever it unfolds before us, is JUST FINE!!

I got the Lost Season 3 DVD on the 16th. A day early! It's a really great Season, especially when you watch the episodes back to back!

Also, the first episode of Season 4 is called "The Beginning Of The End".

Lost is a great show, I've seen both of the first seasons. I bought the third for my sister as a Christmas present, but it hasn't arrived yet, and I'm getting slightly anxious! Can't wait, the second season ended with a great cliffhanger!

If anyone is interested, here is a nice rapid video recapping the first three seasons. Of course details of some characters are left out, e.g: Libby. She was one of my fav minor characters on LOST, I always felt Libby (like Charlie in Heroes) was one of those characters who was taken off the show too early. I read we might see her backstory this season.

Refresh my memory... which psychic are you referring to? The one from season 1 flashbacks, i.e before Claire got pregnant? What did the psychic predict to Claire ?

i think he means when she was pregnant and went to see the phsycic and he told her toput it up for adoption

in the season 1 flashbacks he tells her to raise her baby herself at any cost, then at least claire came to believe arranges for a fake adoption and insists she takes flight 815 no other flight will do he says. She thinks he knew it was going to crash forcing her to raise aaron herself. I think realizing this the only way she would give up aaron is if she was dead.

B-Runner... thanks for that refresher. During Season 1&2 , I assumed there was some prophecy tied to Aaron, since everybody else (The Others) were trying to a get hold of him. Of course then we realize it was for medical reasons since all pregnant women die after child birth. But Aaron is definitely unique since Claire survied his birth. But the reason she survived is maybe due to the fact that the baby was not conceived on the island. The other pregnant women's babies were conceived on the island and they were living on the island for many years.

Btw I don't think we can discuss LOST without bringing up previous episode references, which doesn't really qualify as spoilers (unless someone is not been watching the previous seasons). So I want to know if we should continue using the spoiler tag, unless anyone is giving out latest episode details or possible future episode details from other sources.

there also is a theory that she didn't get pregnant on the island that julia lied so that when sun lived ben would think she had finally done her job and send her home.

i really liked this past episode, it made me feel like i was watching season one all over again and really getting into the story. i hope the momentum stays the same.

This is one of my favourite eps so far. Desmond episodes are always great :) The ending with Desmond and Penny's reunion was such a great moment. And Daniel Faraday is quickly becoming one of the interesting characters. I liked how this episode dealt with more sci-fi.

Although we already knew that there is some time difference on the island, i.e episode two weeks back... when Faraday through the rocket landing, learns that there is significant amount of time difference. But in this episode Jack confronts Faraday for the explanation on why it's taking them more than one day to reach the boat. And when Faraday in spite of Charlotte's warning tries to explain that their perception of how long they been gone is not the real time duration, well that scene was blowing my mind. And that was just the beginning of the episode.:D

Obviously with LOST, there are always so many questions. Here are few things I am wondering about.

Faraday says that the future can't be changed.

Faraday should have already remembered Desmond when he spoke to him for the first time via the satellite phone, but it sounded like he didn't.

Another thing, it is not until the end we read that Desmond is Faraday's constant (which was another cool scene). So was that text in the book there all along? Or does it not manifest until Desmond meets Faraday in 1996, then perhaps that explains why Faraday doesn't remember Desmond when he spoke on the phone for the first time. Cause if that text happens because of Desmond and Faraday's meet up, doesn't it mean Desmond did infact changed the future.

what i was thinking was he might have forgotten about it. it maybe have been written there and then he might have remembered it, which is what caused him to tell desmond to get in contact with him and tell him all those facts and such. and then he might have vaguely remember writing something in his journal to that effect which was why he was thumbing through it at the end.

but for me, i always love to think that these instances with time travel do change the future. so even though my theory above could work, i like to think they appeared there after the fact. :)

I agree. Also I like to believe if Faraday had checked his book before speaking to Desmond on the phone, then "Desmond Hume will always be my constant" will not (and should not) exist in his book. Only after their phone interaction things got set in motion and Desmond changed the past... and the time ripple effect would catch up... thus eventually or instantaneously changing the present and resulting in the text to appear in the book (Just like the newspaper articles changed in the BTTF films)

Maybe i'm wrong but didnt penny and desmond patch things up before he left on his race around the world, if so if he doesn't remember all that stuff in the past the next time he sees her after demanding she not change her phone number he would have no reccolection of it. Anywho hope that made sense.
