Just a thought - Farnsworth mentions something about "The second coming of Jesus" and later uses the phrase "sweet zombie Jesus!". Connection, maybe? It might not just be a colorful expression; perhaps in the Futurama universe, Jesus returned as a zombie!

Am I way off, or is this old news?

According to the Prof, Zombie Jesus came into prominence in his past. Of course, in the Simpsons world, he would be Zombie Jebus.

In accordance with proper semantics, the event of his rising in the bible would, indeed, make him a "ZOMBIE" Jesus.

That's a good question TK. It could possibly be a connection. But i'm sure Prof has said that in another episode, therefore maybe not relating to the '2nd coming of jesus'.
