The one thing I didn't like about the new season was in two or three episodes, it made it look like Fry was more heroic or improving at Leela's expense. For example in Neutopia, Leela was reduced to being a stewardess and Fry got to be the pilot. Also, in Fry Am The Egg Man when Leela got knocked out, and Fry had to go shoot Mr. Peppy. Why did the writers do that?
Another thing about this I didn't like was Fry being a security guard at night, I mean, come on, he's too lazy and he would be too scared to be one. Plus, why was it Fry sleeps in his underwear and everyone else had to cover themselves? Bender should've been the security guard, and the writers could've made him act like Sherriff Buford T. Pusser.
Hope this doesn't happen next season. One more example of making Fry look improving and heroic was issue #54 of the comic book.
Fry should remain in incompetent, cowardly moron who is always needing help from Bender and Leela and stop with these Heruclean things the writers make him do to look more heroic and improving at Leela's expense. Which is probably why I hated Fry for a while back.
