Hell no.

And here's why;

We have one of the strongest economies going and the Euro is made up from a bunch of countries that had very weak economies, I think.

We don't need the Euro, depsite what this German girl I met last summer says.

What you say about the UK is not right.
It has bad social care, a lot of poverty, a lot of unemployment and the education could be better also.

Okay, the pound is stronger than the US Dollar... the Eurozone costs too much with countries going bust and is sinking. lol

It's just the way how I said we paid for the EU and paid for Spain to be brought up to code, which was long and expensive, and you say

'We all have to help each other' lol

If that's the case then why doesn't France or Italy pay? lol

The Royal Family are going to be reformed, I think, I heard... but since it's them, all governments from every commonwealth country has to vote... and something they're debating, here, for us, Cananda, Australia to vote on... is... To get women equal rights to the throne, and this other thing, is to give rights to marry Catholics and keep their claim to the throne, within the royal family, as they remain so out of date, but, since it's the Royal Family, the British Goverment, Hussypuff's, RBF's ect... all have to vote, along with Kenya, India and who ever else, (A fair few) before any Royal Changes ever happen.

(And that's just with NO opisition to the reforms, we all have to agree, which will take time anyway.)

it's the twenty first century dude.

y'all aren't a superpower anymore. theres no need for a monarcy.

and i hope the euro fails. it's been slidin for sometime now. and in saying that, i hope the american dollar fails to. ever since the FED was made it's been a sham. we need to bump the FED and go back to the gold standard.

is the pound backed by anything? cuz the dollar used to be backed by gold. if you get a 1880's thru 1933 bill it'll say 'will pay to the beareron on demand.' you used to be able to get gold for money, my grandparents used to talk about it. but they aboloshed that, and since the 70's people believe that fort knox doesn't even house our gold anymore.

it just seems that we as a planet need to go back to precious metals or something of that sort for currency. the bills we have now a days aren't anything more than paper with ink on it. they're worth what THEY make us believe they're worth. it's that way in america atleast. our FED is a corporation that isn't even a government owned corporation. americans have no rights to ask them for their books, or to audit them, etc. the FED is a joke. make to keep the poor poorer, and make the rich richer.

We still have the Queen as the head of state and stuff, but that's just the way it is, anyway, sorry for the digression.
We're talking money, We're talking vaules and worth, and the euro just isn't worth it. What will we get out of it?
We don't need the euro because we already have the pound, and the pound is worth more than the US dollar even.
(It's not even up for debate in the UK because; We know.) - It's seems though that some people from the Eurozone disagree; We all know what's in it for them. lol

It seems a tad crazy that Britain or anyone would want anything to do with the Euro right now. On the other hand, I think Euro notes do look a little cooler than Sterling ones. I'm not sure the financial institutions that be are considering that though:)

David Cameron this week in Brussels.

1eOWQX9sZ-M

UK vetoes EU treaty this week, now they say 'we stand alone'... I'm like 'mmmkay.'
British PM David Cameron says no, the Italian PM says the UK's now isolated, a German newspaper ran with 'Bye, bye Britain'...
The leader of the opposition says

l6ItusbUOVY

The UK said no because we did not want sanctions for not using the Euro and 9 of the member states out of the 26 who did say yes has to go back and vote on it. There are 27 in total.

There'll be those I guess who'll praise the PM and others who'll would want his head; for this.
But what the PM did was protect 'the City' (the UK's Wall Street is called the City), and he made sure that we do not have to answer to anyone or pay anything for not using the Euro; but also stated that, we do not want to be in the Euro neither do we want to see the Euro sink.

England, stop being the stubborn kid of the class.
lol

Face it, nobody knows what the heck they're doing in Europe, atleast this way, Britain doesn't have to meet EU banking regulations and sanctions for not using the single currency, EU... The treaty held no answers, just more regulations for the Euro Dollar and how much money the IMF can have and what will happen to countries if they run out of Euros.

England, stop being the stubborn kid of the class.

Not a chance mate :P
why the hell would we want to lose sterling as a currency no one seems to get that we like being individual i could say stuff about how the pound is strong compaired to the euro at the moment but that has all been said before

I have always though england is a lot like me stuborn, individual and intelligent :D

Then England should better leave the EU completely.
I bet they just want the benefits.
Also...the unemployment rate, health care, the gap between poor and rich in England is still something that is not something to be proud of.
Although I don't like to criticize England because some people dear to me live there.

Cak20
10-12-2011, 06:18 PM
Ha what makes you think we just want the benefits
the only reason we don't want to change to the euro is that it would make our economy degrade even faster than it is already

why is everyone so desperate to change england to the euro any way ... Oh wait i know so it will send englands economy down the toilet while benefiting their economy .... i wonder what we should do

A car almost hit me when I was in England because they drive at the wrong side of the road. :P
Also, border-control is super-extreme in England. I can go without problems to The Netherlands but to enter England I am controlled like if I would be a potential drugs-trafficker.

There little benefits being in the EU. More disadvantages than anything imo.

i think the country is to small for a civil war at the moment it would be over in 2 days and we would all be back to drinking tea and discussing the past 2 days on day 3 lol

Tiresome process. As if the sea isn't enough as an obstacle. ;)
I read a story about a Belgian who lost his passport in the UK and wasn't allowed to leave the country.
The Belgian ambassade had to arrange stuff so he could get home.

It would have been cheaper for me if England also accepted euros. :P

Oh yeah and the rest of the world isnt any different is it....

Some are ahead, some are behind regarding what aspects you're looking at.
It's just a case of what's important for you and what kind of benefits you wish to have in the country you live in.

Anyway, we all know what Cinco's like, he's pro anything EU... So... Whatever, makes him kind of biest, if you ask me.

The world is a village right now thanks to the internet. So what's the sense to live on an island (figuratively speaking) in this day and age?
Only a united EU can stand strong in a world in which countries like China become more prolific.

I'm glad the PM did what he did because the other guy, the leader of the opposition hasn't answered, in 3 long days, whether or not he'd have signed the treaty himself.

The UK started suing the ECB (European Central Bank) in September 2011 (I found out today) because the ECB withdrew all use of rights for the Bank of England to process Euros; We process US Dollars, Japanese Yen ect... We WAS happily processing Euros until the ECB said
"not in London."
BBC News - UK taking legal action against European Central Bank (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-14923544)

This is what I heard live on TV today.
