Leela creates a successful new series, and becomes a Hollywood bigshot.

I would have to give it a 7.5, The beggining was pretty uneventful although it did have a couple of laughs, but the ironic twist with how Leela created the show was what bumped it up to the 7.5 mark. I know people will probably disagree with me about this, but I thought "The Silence of the Clamps" was terrible like a 6 so this was a little better for me. I am expecting a total home run from "All the President's Heads" next week, so Im excited for that. So yeah, overall 7.5

This episode was okay, nothing special. I liked all the digs at awful kiddy tv shows and how cheesey and repeatative they are. And the line about how only good tv shows get cancelled, some even two or three times got a good laugh from me. Plus this episode mentioned my hometown, so that's a bit of a bonus lol

Anyways, it was good to see a Leela centric episode but I don't think it's been as good as the last few. I'd rate it somewhere between 6 and 7.

It was pretty good. It stayed consistent throughout but the ending was the real laugh. lol

I gave it a 7. It was a okay episode. There were some good jokes in there.

This was my most favorite line:

“Non-creative? I’ll have you know I bedazzle my own underpants!”

lol :)

I wrote a review of this episode here, Futurama - Gamut Network (http://www.gamutnetwork.com/tv/futurama-s06e19-review/) it would be awesome to get some feedback from fellow fans.

I agree with some of what you wrote. "Meh" is a bit too low of a score in my opinion but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

A pretty good episode with some great lines. A couple that stick in the mind are "you ever made out with a tugboat?" and “Non-creative? I’ll have you know I bedazzle my own underpants!”

Popular slut club, captain mega meat and toddler wrestling gave me a laugh as well.......Especially popular slut club, the voice that announced it was hilarious LOL

Haven't they already made that joke about the show getting canceled? ... like twice?

I'll be honest this is my least favorite episode of the series. It is the only one I have not laughed out loud at least once. Loving the new series in general though.

The music is what makes this episode a 7 instead of a 5.

Best lines: Amy:"ewwww....im all licky-sticky...bwaaaaahhh"

Bender: "That was a hell of a massage...maybe the best that ever was.'

One of the weaker Episodes, it just did not have the right Futurama feeling. You rather felt like really watching a kid's show...
Which seems kinda strange to me, for the shows "ingredients" did all fit into the Futurama universe

- Leela care about the orphans, and the character likes to play the "motherhen" from time to time. So her presence in the orphanarium was quite fitting.
- A Futurama Character pursuing a "Solo Career"..well, nothing new, special, nor unsuitable about that.
- We probably all thought that some Kid Show puppets do in fact look like little aliens. Pursuing that kind of thought is typical for Futurama
- Devliering a false lesson "You can lie...as long a enough folks profit from that, it'll be okay" as a mean conclusion is also all right for the show.

But -somehow- all the ingredients just did not come together...
I must admit that this Episode is much better when viewed a second time, but remains still one of the weaker ones.

i loved it

as an aspiring writer, i thought it was a really nice story on fame, success, trying to be original and looking into what motivates writers

as for laughs, there was barely any, but the references to bad kids tv shows were good (and the voice of lil from rugrats being used as one of the orphan kids!!)

8/10

I think it tried to give a message about nowaday's shows for kids... Even if true, I didn't like that most of the episode was focused on that topic.
Still funny at times, but as I could previously imagine, a Leela-centered episode wouldn't be as hilarious as a fry or bender-centered one
