So today has been pretty crazy. We knew a bad storm was coming... but I don't really think we expected it would be THIS crazy. It started this morning... just this morning hit a new record in Alabama for tornadoes. But then it got bad tonight.
The first tornado I think they showed was in Cullman. Which is kind of close to where I am. It was an f3 that was about a quarter of a mile wide. It ripped through the town.

But then the scary one got in Alabama. Now from what I heard, which I could be wrong... tornadoes make me panic, this tornado actually developed in Mississippi and moved into Alabama. It was in Tuscaloosa. This tornado was a MILE wide and a f5. It went all the way from Tuscaloosa, through Birmingham, Fultondale, Trussville, Odenville, and all the way into Georgia.

Places have literally been leveled out, and so far the deaths are up to 53, but we are all certain there are alot more.
There were actually ALOT more tornadoes then just those two, but they were the really big ones.
So please keep Alabama in your prayers, and if you don't pray, please just keep us in your thoughts.
I am insanely thankful that my family and friends are alright. I've been writing them and checking in on them all day. And several of them were in the direct line on the Tuscaloosa Tornado.

Me and my mom did, and so have all my friends and my family.
Oddly enough, if I hadn't been watching the weather all day because we knew a bad storm was coming, I would have NEVER imagined there being this much damage. Literally it went around us. The only time we got rain and hail was when the Tuscaloosa tornado got near, and then our lights started flickering when the Cullman tornado got into the Northern tip of our county. That was it, other than that it was actually really nice and pretty sunny where I live. We were directly in the MIDDLE of it all.
I saw on the news... there was a total of 150 tornadoes, and so far the deaths have reached up to 178, but I'm sure it's still rising. That was a couple hours ago. And there have been about 400,000 power outages across Alabama.
I don't know how, but we still have power. It never went off.

Its weird but when i heard about them i actually did think of you straight away being in Alabama.
While i know its not fun for you as you live there but growing up i always thought it be cool to be a tornado hunter.. Just go after and record them all....

Thanks. :D
And I have had that thought too, though I would NEVER go through with it. The thought of tornadoes freaks me out. Someone I stayed really calm yesterday though, I guess it's cause of how the weather was at my house. Cause me and my mom just sat there watching the weather and everytime he would mention a place I knew, I would go through my phone and text the people I knew from there to make sure they were ok.

That dude is my HERO, we watched him ALL DAY. Him and another guy were on television talking about the weather since before sunrise, till 10 at night, which then the news came on, and they still had to do the weather.

I just saw some of the damage on Yahoo news. Even as bad as it is down south, at least you're not in Japan.

Yeah I know that. And I am thankful.
But this was also a terrible moment for Alabama. It's something we've never experienced, and it took out quite a bit of our state.

Oh yeah it's calmed down. The weather was out of Alabama at about 10 last night. Now there is just alot of rescue, and clean ups going on.

Thanks. :)
I might be working today... I'm not entirely sure though, there are some family emergencies going on (not storm related at all), but if I do work, I'll let you know what damage I see, and if there is any, I'll take some pictures.

It is pretty devastating to hear about all of this. I have a lot of friends that have been affected by it, just really sad.
