I remember The Exorcist creeping me out. Ya know what I think? I think they're just saying The Exorcist actually happened just to creep us out even more. Scientifically speaking, if it really happened, the victim may have suffered a severe case of schizophrenia or epilepsy.

Even though Jesus Camp is real and it's disgusting, I had to vote for The Exorcist. My boyfriend made me watch it three months ago (knowing very well how I feel about it) and I still have to sleep with the TV on and peek out of the shower curtain and check all closets.

I despise that movie. I'm not easily scared and not one to be so eccentric, but I still maintain that that movie is EVIL and I DO NOT mess with it. We don't have it in our house, and when my boyfriend and I get our own place, I've gotten him to promise that he won't keep a copy of it in our home, as long as I don't keep any Panic! At The Disco CD's around; that's our compromise.

Why is Saw up there? It is a gory film, not a scary film.

frys_red_jacket

id assume its cos its a horror, or if anyones like me then anything with gore can be scary

Definately The Exorcist!

Saw was an awesome movie for sure, but it really wasnt scary. Kind of like House of 1000 Corpses or The Devils Rejects, they werent really scary, but awesome films to watch. The Exorcist creeps you out on a purely human level, and the fear it causes you to experience, roots deep within you after watching the movie.

Pazuzu (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0564790/): What an excellent day for an exorcism.
Father Damien Karras (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0588553/): You would like that?
Pazuzu (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0564790/): Intensely.

I voted the exorcist. It's a scary ass movie and i saw it when i was about 12 and i really believe in taht stuff (spirits, not demons or god or anything) so it messed with me. i was terrified.

Gazereths
21-09-2007, 06:38 PM
TBH i didn't find that film scary at all...Maybe because i watched 'Repossessed' before i watched it...and i couldn't get Leslie Nielsen's face out of my head whilst watching it...lol

The only movie listed that I found scary was The Exorcist. Truly disturbing movie.

There are two movies to which I think are absolutely horrifying:

The Blair Witch Project
The Ammytiville Horror (remake).

JetGirl
28-10-2007, 02:50 PM
blair witch project was great! very creative way to handle filming a movie. must have been a crazy set. i liked the original amityville better. i wanted to go and see the original house but the new family there got tired of people going to see it so they refurbished the front. the creepy two eyed window section that you can see from teh road :(

the 3 men and a baby one is still creepier

if you ever watch the movie there's a scene where i think it's Ted Danson and he's on the phone with somebody and he walks over to the window and then walks back into the main room.

in the background in th corner you see a small child. maybe 5 or 6 years old standing there out of nowhere when ted danson walks back into the room. the studio claims it's just a cardboard cut out of one of the characters in the movie that someone forgot to take off set... but i dont' know looks like a kid to me and it doesnt' seem to be in the shot the whole time. i've only seen it twice. it freaks me out too much.

I chose "other."

I have seen The Exorcist a few years ago, and to be honest it didn't really scare me. I thought it was deeply disturbing, but it didn't make me pee my pants or anything.

I'm a big fan of the SAW movies, but I don't find them scary either. Again, it's more disturbing than anything and it seriously messes with your head.

One of the first and only movies that really scared the crap out of me is the 1999 remake of House on Haunted Hill. All of those shakey head ghosts and Saturation Chamber scenes did it for me. I had to sleep with a light on for like two weeks after watching that movie. And I was 18 when it came out!
