Sky have had an argument with Virgin and NTL....so they have taken sky one off...Damn them to the deepest pits of hell :evil: .....So that means no more simpsons, futurama, (lucky i have the dvd's) battlestar galactica, plus loads of other stuff i liked on there.....I'm sad :(:(:(:(:(

Yeah, someone on another forum was having a go too.

As most of you are awares Sky Tv are being very stupid about a number of things just to control a bigger market. Not only did they buy a 17% stake in Itv to block a takeover bid from ntl/telewest(now virgin media), they've now dropped various Sky channels from virgin media's tv package due to an increased fee requested by them, yet another move to make what they offer more appealing to virgin media members, you can't imagine how P##Sed off I'm am right now.

Sky don't seem to realise that for various reasons a lot of people are unable to get sky digital, like myself, I have a heaving great tree in a neighbours back yard that blocks their signal, can't cut it down as it's over a certain age and it would be a crime.

I honestly don't know who's dumb idea at Sky it was to charge more to Virgin media but it was a plain stupid one at that, not only do they still get the money from the advertising as it's still Sky's they got money from Virgin media for the channels, Sky don't need more money or a bigger market share, what they are doing is simply for Greed.

I hope they get penalised for the block of Virgin medias takeover of Itv and then realise the stupid mistake their doing by dropping Sky channels from Virgin medias tv package. I was watching futurama this morning now this evening I can't watch anytihng.

I have a sky box hooked up..with no subscription...you get quite a few channels..but they're not that good...I mainly use it for the TV guide..as the one on NTL sucks.

It means that dvd's from america wont work in the UK and vice versa.......The US is region 1...UK is region 2.........and so on...it's to stop copying...Damn them.

how would they know where you got the dvds. cus if you played them on your computer how could they not work
